Southern Adelaide Local Health Network - Flinders Medical Centre - Mental Health Salary: $66,590 - $70,968 p.a. (Pro Rata) OPS3 | Part Time, 22.5 H/PW, Until June 2025 Aboriginal Gambling Therapy Service (AGTS) is part of Flinders Psychological Therapy Services (FPTS) and provides evidence-based treatment for gambling and related mental health problems. AGTS is a statewide service with offices in Bedford Park and Elizabeth. Services are adapted specifically for the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their families. The modified program delivers the same high standard therapy that mainstream clients receive but in a culturally sensitive manner. About the Role: As the Cultural Worker, your duties can include: Working closely with FPTS staff to ensure culturally appropriate support is provided to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients attending for gambling therapy Forming partnerships and liaise with key stakeholders to improve referral pathways and maintain effective service provision. Continually bringing the Aboriginal perspective to FPTS care planning, organisational and educational activities. Contributing to research projects within FPTS e.g. clinical, cultural and related topics. Maintaining own professional development program and promote and maintain effective working relationships with staff and clients to achieve departmental goals. To be successful in this role, you will need: Experience in working with and providing advocacy and support services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities. The ability to effectively engage and communicate with internal and external staff as part of a multi-disciplinary team and service approach Proven well-developed communication and interpersonal skills including an ability to liaise effectively and/or work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
