Bread Butter Group was born to build our community and create spaces for togetherness. We are a unique amalgamation of A small-batch butter factory by Tasmanian Butter Co. Our new Bakery on George Street, the home of all things bread. Bread Butter HQ Elizabeth Street, a cafe, wholesale/retail bakery, onsite eatery coffee bar. The Bakeshop for donuts, cakes, cookies and pies. Neighbourhood, a suburban eatery offering all-day dining and featuring a beautiful wood-fired oven. Our mission is to deliver delicious exceptional food, bread, pastries and coffee to our community every single day of the year. We make the best versions of the basics. We are dedicated to traditional techniques and thoughtful execution while maintaining our no-frills, nostalgic vibe. We want our food to be approachable and craveable. We want our impact on our community, both local and industry-wide, to be fierce, honest, loyal, and dependable. We are currently looking for an experienced and qualified baker to join our team. We are very excited to offer this opportunity to jump on board and help grow our expanding team business. About the role Contribute to a positive and cooperative work environment. Participate in open communication with other bakery team members, the Head Chef, venue managers, delivery drivers and the front-of-house crew. Understand and comply with The Company policies. Follow recipes according to guidelines. Ensuring the delivery of our bakery range is to a high standard consistently. Pack and prepare orders for wholesale customers and our other venues. Assist with ordering and stock control. Adhere to HACCP procedures and practices. Communicate necessary repairs to equipment. Work collaboratively with our team to develop our new products and how we provide them. Learn all aspects of Bread Butter Group operations, participate in company training programs, and implement and integrate our company policy and mission. To maintain product quality above all else, putting customer satisfaction over profit. What you'll need to succeed Demonstrated experience in a similar role. Demonstrates good judgment, integrity, trust, ethics, and values. Be decisive, accept responsibility for making things happen, think ahead and develop contingency plans (while ensuring you have the support to get the job done). To be flexible, responding quickly and positively to changing environments. Maintaining focus, cooperating, and supporting colleagues in pursuing department goals Show meticulous attention to detail.
