About the Role: We are continually looking for enthusiastic and talented people to join our team. Our Melbourne office based in Mordialloc is currently seeking a Civil Drafter on a permanent, full-time basis. This position would suit someone who has design exposure to mine and waste projects or previous experience with local roads and the urban development environment, looking to expand on their current experience across a broad range of projects. Key responsibilities and activities include: Drafting of projects in AutoCAD Civil 3D software Prepare high-quality plans and technical drawings in AutoCAD Provide assistance to Engineers Undertake accurate, timely and quality presentation of civil engineering documentation including preparation of Bill of Quantities, Detailed Drawing and Design Models Adherence to our Quality Management System Work in partnership with a broader design team to deliver a coordinated product Review of rough sketches, mark-ups, mock-ups, drawings, specifications and other engineering data received from engineers to ensure conformance with design criteria and concepts Design of embankments, landforms, surfaces and associated structures conforming with the design criteria and set out as provided by the project Manager Coordinate and incorporate data into drawings, schematics, and maps Review and ensure conformance of sketches and drawings with design criteria Correlate, interpret, and modify data from topographical surveys and other sources Convert drawings and plans for client issue Produce designs and detailed work using CADD based on specifications and calculations Develop and utilise design skills with specialised software for 3D modelling Maintain databases and electronic records systems, ensuring consistency with CADD Standards and Guidelines Complete material quantity take-offs for construction scheduling and costing Knowledge, Skill and Experience requirements include: Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering or related field Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar Civil Drafter role Demonstrated experience in drafting of civil/mining infrastructure such as dams, embankments and drainage works, roadways, stormwater, landfills, cover systems etc. Demonstrated experience in AutoCAD and Civil 3d to produce Civil drawings and documentation to a high standard Civil Site Design experience Sound experience with GIS software (QGIS) Muk3D experience Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an eye for detail and a strong focus on the production of quality outputs What You Gain when you join ATC Williams As an entirely employee-owned organisation with a retention rate to be proud of, our talented and skilled people acknowledge two key reasons why they choose to stay at ATC Williams: the depth and generosity of our in-house knowledge and expertise, and the fantastic opportunities available for personal growth and diverse project experiences, especially if you are prepared to grab these opportunities with both hands.
