Clerical Supervisor - Emergency

We care for thousands of children each year in our hospitals and in their homes — with one purpose in mind — to help young people live their healthiest lives. The Emergency Department Clerical Supervisor role is part of a dynamic team who manage a Paediatric ED seeing over 40,000 children each year. This role is 1fte, with time split evenly between office hours and the remaining hours working in the frontline Clerical role (these shifts are both morning and afternoon shifts). The office role includes human resource management, coordination of clerical duties, staff training, data accuracy and rostering. What you'll be doing The Emergency Department Clerical Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of managing the Emergency Department Clerical team and the clerical requirements of the Emergency Department. This includes human and material resource management, coordination of clerical duties, staff training and development, effective management of relevant protocols and policies and data accuracy in iPM and eMR, rostering and Health Roster. The position is also responsible for the initiation and implementation of changes in practice as required and ensuring timely recruitment and selection of staff as per EEO guidelines. Sound administrative and organisation skills and experience Demonstrated experience in supervising staff Excellent verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated ability to initiate and achieve change Proven performance in Health Roster and rosters Demonstrated analytical skills and attention to detail.
