Provide technical support and coordination for the commissioning of grid-connected Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). D’Arcy Weil is representing a leading global energy company. As they expand their operations in Australia, they are looking for a talented Commissioning Support Engineer to join their dynamic team. You will play a critical part in the commissioning process of advanced BESS projects, ensuring that installations meet all technical, safety, and performance standards. Key Responsibilities: Provide technical support during the commissioning phase of BESS installations. Assist in the development of commissioning plans and procedures. Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure system readiness for commissioning. Monitor and report on the progress of commissioning activities. Conduct testing and validation of BESS systems to ensure compliance with design specifications. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during commissioning. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards. Document and report all commissioning activities and findings. Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to coordinate commissioning schedules. Support the transition of BESS systems from commissioning to operational phases. Participate in project meetings and provide technical input. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in the commissioning process. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant industry standards and practices. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Minimum 3 years’ experience in commissioning or supporting the commissioning of energy infrastructure projects. Hands-on experience with BESS or renewable energy systems is highly desirable. Strong understanding of Australian energy regulations and standards. Proficiency in commissioning tools and software. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
