Joining our Kitchen Team We are looking for someone that is well organised, confident and knows their way around a kitchen. You would need to help with all preparation of meals, including cooking and serving, in accordance with established procedures, food safety standards, and the dietary requirements of the staff members. Core functions and duties Preparation of daily meals Staying on top of dishes, tidy the kitchen and dining areas Restocking of snacks and drinks fridges Maintaining good stock control practice Help out with any housekeeping duties that are required Making coffee Washing dishes and ensuring the kitchen and dining areas are cleaned at the end of each day Candidate Requirements Knowledge of menu planning and ordering is an advantage Be a reliable, positive and well-organised person Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role Demonstrated knowledge of kitchen operations Food Handling Certificate Experience in the preparation and presentation of food for large groups Show initiative and forward-thinking Someone who would thrive working independently The benefits of working with the Nexigen Digital team Aside from being awarded “Employer of Choice” in the Australian Business Awards, we are often referred to as the Google of south-east Melbourne thanks to our unique facilities and team culture, and a top-down mandate to take care of the people who take care of our customers.
