Position Overview As a Locum Emergency Physician, you will play an integral role, primarily responsible for the delivery of acute emergency services in a busy 24/7 department. You will get firsthand experience of working in a diverse and fast-paced environment and directly contribute to the wellbeing and health of a regional Australian community. Responsibilities Provision of ad-hoc emergency services in an around-the-clock emergency department Comprehensive assessment and on-point treatment of patients Effective organisation of medical investigations and referrals Direct supervision and mentorship of resident medical officers Requirements Fellowship of an Australian/NZ specialist college; or overseas equivalent certified by the CMP and registered with AHPRA Recent Clinical Record Screening Clearance (within 12 months) Details of current Medical Indemnity Insurance A minimum of 3 years' experience in a comparable emergency department role Proof of PGY6 designation ALS2 certification Possession of a current Working with Children Card Benefits Travel expenses fully covered as part of the contract offer Accommodation expenses included within the contract Competitive daily rates ranging from AUD 2,500 to AUD 3,500 This role will provide a stimulating working environment where each day is different, and professionals can advance their careers whilst strengthening regional and rural health services.
