Maintenance Fitter

Be a part of a groundbreaking venture with one of Australasia premier privately owned manufacturing organisations located in Cleveland. Our client, Comgroup Supplies, is one of Australasia’s largest privately owned, diverse and experienced manufacturing organisations. Their facilities use world class manufacturing equipment to ensure that product is produced with efficiency and to a high-quality standard that are approved by companies worldwide. With a product export portfolio servicing 25 countries, product innovation and delivery form a critical deliverable for the business. Due to exceptional growth, they are commissioning a new multimillion-dollar manufacturing facility in Cleveland to support their future growth for the next 10 – 15 years. Our client are currently forming a maintenance team to support the new site and they are looking for permanent full time shift Mechanical Fitters. Immediate start is available. The Role Reporting to the maintenance manager you will be required perform trouble shooting, fault finding, planned preventative, both corrective, and reactive maintenance on our plant and manufacturing equipment. This role would also consist of project focused work, adding variety as the business and manufacturing capabilities expand. Key Responsibilities: Troubleshooting, fault finding and planned prevention Corrective and reactive maintenance on manufacturing equipment Assisting contractors with project work Minor installations and commissioning work Providing frontline production mechanical work Providing effective handovers and work documentation Contributing to the continuous improvement processes of operations Requirements for this role: Mechanical Engineering qualifications to Trade Certificate III (minimum) Experience / accreditation on Pneumatic & Hydraulic systems highly regarded Experience with gas fired boiler systems highly regarded Understanding of HVAC systems Ability to TIG weld (stainless steel) highly regarded Fabrication skills Well-developed fault-finding skills Ability to autonomously, communicate effectively, solve problems and prioritise work tasks Ability to work on a rotating shift (mornings & afternoons) As the business grows and develops, we will look to adjusting rosters to suit production requirements and employee flexibility, this could include a 4 on 4 off roster or other alternatives in consultation with staff Benefits Competitive salary Overtime and weekend work available Career progression opportunities New multimillion dollar facility Dynamic, fast passed environment Please Note: All applicants will be required to participate in a drug and alcohol test to be successful in this role.
