Occupational Therapist - Paediatric Rapid Response

Western Health is seeking a Paediatric Occupational Therapist to work full-time (1.0 FTE) within the Paediatric Program of its Integrated Community Health Service in a new Paediatric Rapid Response Program. Working within a multidisciplinary team and alongside community paediatricians, you will be enabling young people and their families to achieve their goals and reach their potential. As part of the NDIS Rapid Access program you will be assessing children referred to the Paediatric service screened as potentially having moderate to severe developmental delay and likely to require NDIS ECEI referral. You will conduct initial triage assessments to determine which children are likely to need NDIS support, participate in Autism Spectrum Assessment Clinics, prepare reports in support of NDIS plans and assist families to navigate the NDIS system. Working with leaders in the community child and family space, you will be supported to progress your career with quality supervision and professional development opportunities. To be Successful in this Role you Will be an experienced paediatric Occupational Therapist that is committed to providing high quality evidence based paediatric services to young people and their families Will hold a relevant tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and current AHPRA registration Will ideally have experience working within the NDIS service system including the process for access requests and NDIS planning Enjoy working collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team to deliver positive outcomes for your client and community Be an effective communicator About Us Our workforce of over 11,000 employees are driven by our values of ‘Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Excellence and Safety’ (CARES).
