We are seeking high performing individuals to undertake the role of Policy, Program and Data Officers across the Group. To succeed in this role you will need to be a committed team player, have excellent communication skills and be flexible and adaptable in response to changing priorities. You will be responsible for leading and contributing to the development and implementation of social security policy, working with key stakeholders, conducting policy analysis utilising a range of evidence sources and preparing briefing material and advice for Government. You will be committed to supporting positive outcomes for people supported by the social security system and be part of a team leading policy development and advice, program monitoring and data analysis of critical parts of Australia's welfare system. The key duties of the position include develop and cost new policy proposals, including in a Budget context prepare a range of briefings, submissions, talking points, media communications, correspondence and other documents provide advice on the administration and interpretation of policy and legislation contribute to the evidence base through ongoing policy and data analysis work collaboratively with other areas of DSS, other Commonwealth agencies and external stakeholders.
