The essential requirements for this role are: - Experience in leading and influencing practice through knowledge and experience in evidence-based case management, including the interpretation and application of legislation, policy, practice guidelines and directives.- Experience in leading and supporting staff, identifying opportunities for continuous learning and knowledge of front-line human resource management processes.- Possess effective facilitation skills to effectively deliver training to staff and engage in practice support activities such as reflective practice.- Excellent communications skills with demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, concise, articulate manner and provide advice, support, coaching, motivation, mentoring and performance feedback to staff including the ability to approach difficult issues, with a strong sense of the key issues, perseverance, support for good practice and optimal service delivery.- Strong commitment to learning and self-development and to accept challenging new opportunities.- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of contemporary issues relevant to the over-representation of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people in the criminal justice system. Qualifications, professional registration, conditions and other requirements: - Nil mandatory qualifications.- This role is a regional position based at a nominated location within the region, however due to operational requirements, will travel and work across the region in differing locations as required.- The incumbent may be required to travel on official business and the possession of a C class licence is required and will be mandatory in specific locations where it is identified as essential by the hiring panel.
