Senior Technical Business Analyst

How will I help? The Group Customer Master (GCM) Team is an Enterprise Application Team, supporting the Westpac Group's Customer Information Systems, such as OCH / UCM (Oracle Customer Hub / Universal Customer Master), CIS, GCIS, and Customer Domain APIs. We service every Brand in the Bank, and every Line of Business. It is a hybrid Technical Business Analyst and Data Analyst function, that will primarily support the GCM Simplification Program. This role will be responsible for assisting the analysis, development, and delivery of technical solutions (with a focus on Data), to solve business problems within a Project environment. The primary and core responsibilities entail: Working with Business and Technical Stakeholders to understand the current and to-be Technology landscape and undertake a gap analysis, identifying opportunities to improve the Business / System Processes, Technology and Business Landscape Documentation of Functional Data and Technical Services Requirements Specification and where necessary, User Stories and Acceptance Criteria Facilitating Functional, Data and Solution Definition workshops Analysing complex Data patterns emanating from various Technology sources and applications Gathering, analysing, manipulating, merging, translating, and defining Data from source to destination systems, and documenting such Data flows in a suitable format for developers, testers, Projects, and business stakeholders to consume, review and approve. A major focus on Data mapping and Data definition from consumer system, middleware, to source system components (GCM application components). Reviewing and providing feedback on technical documentation, such as solution designs, technical specifications, test cases and scripts, implementation plans etc. What's in it for me? The successful candidate will have: At least 5 years' of experience (combined) across the following fields: Business Analysis, Technical Analysis, and Data Analysis Tertiary qualifications in Business / Information Technology or equivalent experience Process and data analysis, mapping, and re-engineering experience Practical Experience in delivering end-to-end Agile and Waterfall Projects, including exposure to all related delivery processes, principles, best practices, tools, and techniques A strong understanding of, and experience in, Technology and Business Systems strategically and operationally At least 2 years' Financial Services Experience SQL skillset would be very beneficial for this role Excellent Communication, Requirements Analysis, Technical Analysis, Data Analysis and Technical / Functional Documentation Skills Exceptional Attention to Detail and Problem-Solving Skills The ability to deliver to tight timelines in a team-based, complex environment, with a high level of resilience A high level of flexibility and adaptability and be able to respond to a very dynamic project environment What is it like to work there?
