Staff Officer 1 Training Systems

The key duties of the position include Your Role As Staff Officer Training Systems for Air Force Training Group (AFTG), you will work with the Air and Ground Academy training systems teams to oversight, enhance and assure the quality and effectiveness of the AFTG training system. Across multiple training units/schools, you will provide specialist advice and guidance to executive, training practitioner, capability, personnel and finance staff on the application and implementation of Air Force and Defence training policy and process, including provision of specialist advice into preparation of training contracts. You will be responsible to senior AFTG executive for assuring and reporting training compliance with Defence and National standards/legislation through coordination of training audits, and for assuring and reporting training effectiveness through coordination of training analysis and evaluation. You will provide a critical contribution to continuous improvement of the training system through promotion of efficient, effective practices and processes, and implementation of contemporary learning methodology and tools. To be effective and successful in this role you will: Have a keen eye for detail and the ability to interpret, develop and apply learning policy and strategy. Be able to work in a dynamic environment by remaining flexible, agile and adaptable. Have a good level of computer literacy including standard business tools and application of learning technologies. Be persistent in the pursuit of continuous improvement to enhance the training system.
